About Us

Since before supply chain was called supply chain, the ASCM Massachusetts Minuteman Chapter has been keeping the operations and supply chain community in the know and up-to-date on:

• Latest trends: whether technology or people centered, we have experts who know what's happening here and around the globe.
  
  

• Effective "how to": our ASCM Massachusetts Minuteman community is packed with people who've been there, done that, and are excited to help you succeed.

How do we do this?

• PDM (professional development meetings) are held throughout the year, usually at the Hilton Boston/Woburn, but currently via Zoom. It's a chance to network and hear what is happening in supply chain. Some of our past PDMs can be found HERE.
  
  

• Globally recognized training: whether you are interested in certification or in other specialty supply chain training, our ASCM MASSACHUSETTS MINUTEMAN PROFESSIONAL TRAINERS are known in the professional world for their expertise and ability to convey knowledge so that you can apply it successfully.
  
  
• Plant tours are held at various times throughout the year. They are a chance to network as well as see how some of the bellweather supply chain operators handle today's challenges. To see if any are currently scheduled, see our calendar of events. 
  
  

• Networking events like our Holiday Networking Party are held so we can meet up with other area ASCM chapters to do a little knowledge sharing and a lot of networking. To see if any are currently scheduled, see Calendar of Events.

FUN FACTS!

1. APICS was founded in 1957 in Cleveland, OH.
2. The first APICS was chartered in 1958 in New Bedford, MA as APICS New Bedford Chapter #1.
3. APICS Boston was chartered in 1959 as APICS Chapter #10, and APICS North Shore was chartered in 1960 as APICS Chapter #20.
4. In 2020 APICS Boston and APICS North Shore merged and became APICS Massacchusetts Minuteman Chapter #10; subsequently it was renamed ASCM Massachusetts Minuteman Chapter.
5. The New England Supply Chain Conference (NESCON), originally founded in 2004 as the Northeast Supply Chain Conference (NECON), flipped over to its current name (NESCON) in 2008.
