Dave Turbide, CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP, CMfgE, CDDP
Dave has been a long-time member of APICS/ASCM, previously serving as Chapter President for 10 years of the Northern NE chapter, and currently serving as Executive Vice President. Dave is a certified manufacturing engineer (CMfgE), and is certified by ASCM/APICS at the fellow level in Planning and Inventory Management (CFPIM), Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM) and is a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP). He is a long-time chapter instructor for ASCM/APICS classes, and was a subject matter expert contributor for the education material supporting the CSCP program at the ASCM/APICS corporate level.
He has helped multiple users of manufacturing systems to select, implement, and get better results from their systems. In addition, he has performed analysis, written white papers and case studies, and advised software developers to help them improve their products and market positioning. He has authored several reports for major analyst firms, and is especially attuned to the needs and challenges of the mid-sized manufacturer.
In addition to contributing hundreds of articles for various trade publications including more than 20 years writing the “Enterprise Insights” column for ASCM/APICS magazine, Dave and a partner launched Midrange ERP magazine (later renamed Midrange Enterprise) in 1996, to act as an information and education resource for the small to medium manufacturing community. After returning to private practice, he leveraged the broad market knowledge acquired through his manufacturing consulting practice and magazine editor, to work as a freelance writer.
